I did a search and got no results I was like wtf?

You get it for killing a bear in under 3 minutes after talking to these guys and you can double click and drink it.

It doesn't appear to do anything, I was wondering if maybe it would let you like block that break charm thing or let you tame chars that you can't normally tame.

Anyone know if this does anything?

As far as I know, nobody knows what the use of hunter's ale is, other than to create a neat distortion effect. I usually give up and drink the stuff to get it out of my inventory.

If you drink it when the guys say Drink!, you get a distortion effect. After you do this twice in a row (killing the bear) the guys will start singing your praises. I was never able to find more than two bears, so I couldn't test what happened after that.
